I know from experience that maths isn't easy for everyone. I struggled with A-Level Maths myself, and my tutor made a huge difference by helping me actually understand the content instead of just memorising methods, which is now exactly how I like to teach. I tutor Maths and Physics at GCSE level and below, with 30-minute or 1-hour lessons available. I'm happy to teach any exam board and tailor each lesson to suit the student.
No two students learn in exactly the same way, so my lessons are never one-size-fits-all. During our first session, I'll spend time identifying which topics feel most challenging and how you learn best. From there, we'll create lessons that build confidence step by step, making sure you genuinely understand the ideas before moving on.
My lessons are interactive rather than lecture-based. I'll explain concepts using clear examples, work through questions alongside you, and gradually encourage you to solve problems independently as your confidence grows. We'll also look at common mistakes, exam technique, and efficient problem-solving strategies so that you're well prepared for assessments, not just familiar with the content.
As an Aerospace Engineering student, I use maths and physics every day, so I enjoy showing how the topics you're learning in school are applied in the real world. I find that connecting theory to practical examples makes learning much more engaging.
Above all, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where no question feels silly. Learning is much easier when you feel comfortable asking for help, and I'm always happy to explain something in a different way if it hasn't quite clicked yet. My goal isn't just to improve grades, but to help students leave each lesson feeling more confident in their own abilities and a little more excited about maths and physics than when they arrived.
