My lessons are built around clarity, confidence, and steady progress. Each session follows a simple structure: we begin with a short warm-up to revisit key ideas, then move into focused teaching on the topic you want to master. I use a mix of worked examples, guided practice, and independent problem-solving so you can see each step clearly before trying it yourself. Throughout the lesson, I ask questions to check understanding and encourage you to explain your reasoning to strengthen long-term retention and exam-style thinking.

I tailor every lesson to the student. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, or simply want to improve your mathematical confidence, I adapt the pace, difficulty, and style to suit your needs. If you prefer visual explanations, we use diagrams; if you like step-by-step logic, we break problems down methodically. I also provide personalised practice questions and short recap notes so you can continue learning between sessions.

My experience includes supporting students from a wide range of abilities, from those who struggle with foundational skills to high-achieving students aiming for top grades. I understand how intimidating maths can feel, so I create a calm, friendly environment where mistakes are treated as part of the learning process. By the end of each lesson, you will attempt some practice questions unassisted to see what you have learnt, this way you’ll know exactly what you’ve improved on and what we’ll tackle next. I won't ask that you do any extra work in between sessions, but that you let me know before a lesson what you want to work on so that I can prepare material :)
