I believe that there is no single method of teaching people, since everybody has differing strengths and weaknesses. My lessons are therefore adapted to my students based on their individual needs. I incorporate interactive methods to make concepts memorable, and adapt it based on my clients' needs.

*UCAT*
Verbal reasoning: I will teach you effective ways that will help you to find the answers to the questions within the sample text quicker and more accurately.
Quantitative reasoning: I will teach you easier techniques to help you with the calculations and formulae involved in this section. We will target areas of weakness to help you improve your accuracy and overall score in this section.
Decision making: I will teach you techniques to identify and solve common question types quickly.
SJT: I will teach you the main foundations of medical ethics which will help you to answer the questions accurately to score highly in this section.

*Personal Statements*
We will work together to discuss your motivations, work experience and extra-curricular activities to write a personal statement that will showcase your strengths.

In the first session, we will create a list of your motivations for medicine, any extra-curricular activities you may have and we will reflect on the work experience you have undertaken.

In subsequent sessions, we will work on crafting a personal statement that will highlight your strengths to the examiners to ensure that your personal statement stands out among the applications they receive. I will also tell you about potential follow up questions they may ask from your personal statement in your interview, with tips on how to answer those questions effectively.

*Personal Statement Reviews*
I will review your personal statement, following which we will discuss ways in which you can make improvements or adjustments to make it stand out among the crowd. I will also highlight any grammatical issues and suggest ways in which you can change the wording to highlight your strengths better.

*Medical school interviews*
Medical school interviews are crucial in the application process for medicine. Many applicants fail to secure an offer despite excellent grades and UCAT scores because of poor interview performance. I will teach you how to answer questions on your background, your motivations, your depth of interest in medicine, knowledge about the medical school you are applying to, your personal insights, how to showcase empathy, how to answer ethical questions, how to master role play stations, how to demonstrate effective teamwork, and how to talk about your work experience or other parts of your personal statement. We will also carry out mock interviews and I will give you feedback on how you can improve your performance.

NOTE: We can arrange mock interviews alone should you wish not to have lessons, or should you wish to only focus on your areas of weakness afterwards.

*GCSE/ A Level Biology*
I will help you to understand the content needed for your exams which will in turn help to improve your ability to correctly answer exam questions. I will also teach you the key points so that you are able to understand how the mark scheme works, which will in turn help you to weave answers that will maximise your marks in the exam.

*GCSE Maths*
I will simplify complex calculations to help you to understand how to approach the questions. We will also work on exam technique, and how to ensure you score full marks in the questions.
