I like to teach analysis of whatever literature they are currently looking at, as I have access to materials that I feel not many other students will have access too, which can thus give my students that leading edge. However, my preferred method of teaching is through practice in itself, as I believe writing essays, and getting comfortable with doing so, is truly the only way to improve. However, I understand that writing whole essays at a time can be quite daunting and thus I like to ease my students into it, giving smaller tasks. Thus I also like to give such tasks as homework, however I understand that some students have other commitments and may not be able to.
