As a Grade 9 Maths student currently studying Maths at A-level, I aim to make my lessons engaging, supportive, and fully tailored to each learner’s individual needs. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit their pace, confidence, and preferred learning style. My goal is not just to help students pass exams, but to develop genuine understanding and confidence in maths.
I teach online using accessible platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet, alongside interactive whiteboards like BitPaper or Miro. These tools allow students to visualise complex problems, follow explanations clearly, and collaborate in real time. I make lessons structured but flexible, starting with a short recap, then teaching new content through examples and guided practice.
To reinforce learning, I use past papers, topic retrieval activities, and regular review sessions to strengthen recall and problem-solving skills. I frequently check for understanding through quick questions, step-by-step walkthroughs, and open discussion to ensure students are keeping up and truly grasping the material.
Beyond academic progress, I believe building confidence is key. I encourage students to ask questions freely and to view mistakes as part of learning. I aim to create a positive and comfortable environment where students feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential. With my strong understanding of maths and personal experience of achieving a Grade 9, I’m confident I can help students unlock their abilities and achieve outstanding results. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire every student to see maths not as a challenge, but as a skill they can truly master.
