The lessons I provide will be fun and interactive. There will be a hands-on activity within it that will give you real world experiences. I have a unique ability to create an individualized plan for each student. For the last three years I have worked as a Special Education Assistant. This experience has led me to a greater understanding of individual needs and enabled me to address specific student needs. It is my greatest pleasure to witness a student succeed in accomplishing goals they set for themselves. I will also challenge students to meet additional goals that will propel them into a greater sense of self confidence and achieve better grades. Specific lessons have included short lessons which cover independent topics such as sight words, phonics, word structure, essay composition, and help with memorization of components needed for successful reading and writing. I am also familiar with computer games focused on learning through fun activities. I currently utilize Microsoft Word, Zoom, STAR, Reflex, Word Search, and Scrabble game formats. I can also create a game geared toward individual goals. I am, additionally, familiar with IPAD applications. I can also speak American Sign Language which provides for an enriching classroom environment. My more than 15 years of tutoring, teaching, and Special Education experience makes me an excellent tutor who can meet any need and I look forward to working with all students from all backgrounds.
