My lessons are engaging, structured, and always tailored to the individual needs of each student. With experience tutoring GCSE and A-level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Computer Science, I take a supportive and methodical approach that focuses on building confidence as well as academic skill. I begin each session with a short review to consolidate previous learning, before introducing new concepts through step-by-step explanations and real-world applications. My style is collaborative and student-focused, encouraging questions and active problem-solving throughout. I create bespoke plans for each student, whether they need help with exam preparation, tricky topics, or overall subject understanding. My academic background includes 4 A*s at A-level, 10 GCSE grade 9s, and a First Class average in my Mathematics Master’s degree at Durham University, including 86% in my Programming I module. I’ve also achieved top national marks in my Computer Science coursework and hold awards in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. As the former Head of Computer Science at my school, I led a ‘Coding Club’ and regularly supported students in clinics and academic mentoring. I’ve also completed youth leadership training and led summer camps for students aged 8–15, which has helped me adapt my teaching to different age groups and learning styles. With a passion for education, a strong academic track record, and experience in both STEM and the arts, I aim to make my lessons dynamic, effective, and confidence-boosting for every learner I work with.
