For the past two years I have been tutoring GCSE level students in maths with great success. I firmly believe that practice makes perfect, especially when it comes to maths! Therefore word problems and exam style questions are a great tool for improving your skills.

Lessons will start with a simple question to get your mind working and ready to learn, I will then go through examples and techniques to aid in your understanding of the topic. Everyone learns differently so I am excited to see which methods work best for you

Maths is a unique subject as, while with all subjects practice makes perfect, there is no other way to improve your skills beyond trying a large variety of questions and learning to set out your working in the clearest way. As a result of this my lessons will involve lots of past and exam style questions, this will not be a lesson to turn your brain off in!

Having completed my maths GCSE and A-level, I know how frustrating and time consuming maths can be. However I believe with the right teacher anyone can learn and excel. Getting problems wrong may feel draining but we can use the knowledge from them to get others correct, no time is ever wasted as long as there is something to be learnt.

Whether you just need a little extra help with a couple of topics or maths is your hardest subject, I hope to help and enable you to feel comfortable and maybe even enjoy the subject!
