I like to adapt my lesson plan to my student and their unique character. Using a mix of strategies including visual, verbal and creative methods, I want to ensure my student is taught productively and to the best capacity. Ive worked with primary students, as well as my own peers in secondary and college.
As I am a science fanatic in my own course of study, I am happy to share my passion for the subjects and ensure my students acquire some too.
Ive previously worked in a primary school, managing and coordinating a class of young pupils including those with special needs.
Ive organised and assembled classwork, engaging with students to promote creativity and engagement with the teacher and peers.
Ive emotionally connected and communicated with children from a range of backgrounds, encouraging enthusiasm and coordination.
During my own GCSE years, I collaborated with my peers, helping them understand the content we were learning together, which helped not only correct my fellow students but also boost their confidence in their own knowledge.
I like to believe that my intuition and understanding allows me to adapt to the students I work with, and allow me to assess each situation from different angles, to see what method of teaching will help them better. As I’ve seen it work in the past for myself and others, I intend to carry it forward with my own pupils and grow along this journey with them. I look forward to teaching and hope to make the most of this role.
