I’m a patient and supportive tutor who focuses on building confidence as well as understanding. I like to make sure each session is tailored to the individual student. I typically begin by clearly explaining the key ideas in a topic and breaking them down into manageable steps. Once the core concepts are understood, we move on to practice questions so students can apply what they’ve learned. Rather than simply checking answers, I focus on the small skills within each question – the steps, reasoning, and techniques that make solving problems easier and more reliable.

I also don't like to compile all skills into one question straight away. Mini exercises to build up skills are just as important so that you can combine them later. By working through questions together, I can identify where a student might be getting stuck and help them develop strategies to overcome those challenges. Over time, this helps students approach problems with greater independence and confidence.

Every lesson is personalised. I adapt my explanations, pace, and question style depending on how the student learns best. Some students benefit from step-by-step walkthroughs, while others prefer to attempt questions first and then review them together. I’m happy to adjust to what works best for each learner.

Equally important to me is creating a non-judgemental and relaxed learning environment! Students should feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking the time they need to understand something properly. My goal is to make learning feel approachable and supportive, helping students build both their skills and their confidence over time.
