My lessons are student centred and I make sure that students needs are understood and responded. Emphasis is put on task based learning with minimal teacher talking time. Another big part is error correction, whether immediate or delayed as long as it does not affect students performance confidence.

I am careful with accent/phonetic error. So emphasis is put on making sure I do not alter students accents and correct only phonetical errors (words pronounced in a way that is incomprehensible). I do value people's accents as they are part of their linguistic identity however if student wishes to learn a particular accent - mine is more RP British English as been living in South of England most of my life, then we make sure that students learns how to imitate my accent.

I have experienced in working with all age groups and various needs but also I have been an academic manager in summer language schools for the last three years when I was training teachers on how to teach to the expected standard. The school has a very strong academic side with their own materials and my job was to make sure that teachers from different educational background provide one and consistent method of teaching recognised by Cambridge University body (DELTA).

So having experience in both teaching English and managing the academic side of teaching English l, I can ensure you are in best hands you can be.
