First I bond with my students and my students bond with me to create a positive atmosphere for learning, to enable them let their guard down a bit and trust me, I tell jokes and stories to my students, while teaching I give scenarios and stories, during leisure time I have meaningful conversations with my students, I give dance lessons too during leisure hours. If I am teaching a topic like idioms ( Idiomatic expressions) firstly, I break it down in a layman’s language, I explain it to the best of my abilities, I give examples , tell a story using one of the examples, then I give my students the opportunity to ask questions, I make sure my students ask for a better understanding of what I am teaching, after the questions I give assessments to know if they truly understood.
