My teaching approach is personalised to each student. I first try to understand what they already know and which areas they find difficult, then break topics into simple, manageable steps. I use clear explanations, examples and practice questions to help students understand the work rather than simply memorising answers.
I currently provide regular academic support to a Year 7 student, helping with schoolwork, homework and understanding new topics. This has given me experience with the expectations and style of learning at early secondary-school level in the UK.
I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Consumer Psychology. My academic background has helped me develop strong communication, research, organisation and analytical skills.
I am patient with students who need concepts explained more than once and I adapt my pace according to their needs. I aim to create relaxed and supportive lessons where students can build confidence and become more independent learners.
Where possible, I welcome parents sharing the student’s topic or homework in advance so I can prepare appropriately for the lesson.
