Here’s a slightly expanded version with a stronger GCSE/A-level focus and clearer appeal to parents:

My lessons are designed to be clear, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I begin by identifying the areas where a student feels confident and where they may need more support, then build each lesson around those priorities.

I focus on developing real understanding rather than simply memorising formulas or methods. In mathematics and physics, I break complex ideas into manageable steps, use practical examples wherever possible, and encourage students to ask questions and explain their own reasoning. Lessons typically combine explanation, worked examples, guided practice and independent problem-solving, with regular opportunities to review progress and strengthen weaker areas.

For GCSE and A-level students, I place particular emphasis on exam technique, interpreting questions correctly, showing clear working, managing time effectively and avoiding common mistakes. I also use past-paper style questions to help students become familiar with the level of reasoning and precision expected by exam boards. Where appropriate, I can help students create a structured revision plan and identify the topics most likely to improve their overall performance.

I hold a BSc in Mathematical Physics from Imperial College London and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Bayes Business School. Before moving into the financial services industry and becoming a City executive, I taught Physics at secondary-school level. I am also a STEMNET Ambassador and have delivered workshops and lectures in schools across the UK.

Alongside teaching, I have experience supporting and mentoring students and young people. My approach is patient, encouraging and adaptable. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence, independence and ability to tackle unfamiliar problems calmly and logically.

This version should work particularly well for parents looking for structured GCSE or A-level support while still sounding approachable and reassuring.
