Hello everyone,
Myself Swagata and I come from a land who gave the world an incredible sense of mathematics with an invention of Zero and infinity, that’s from India. I am passionate about teaching especially mathematics. I began my teaching career as a lecturer/ professor and have since developed substantial experience in lesson planning, classroom instruction, assessment, student mentoring and academic support. Working with learners of different abilities has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt instruction to individual needs and create a patient, supportive learning environment.

I am particularly interested in supporting students in Secondary Mathematics, including those preparing for examinations and those requiring additional academic assistance. I teach concepts systematically, identify learning gaps and use step-by-step explanations to help students progress from understanding fundamental principles to applying them independently. My experience with CBSE and ICSE curricula has given me a strong foundation in structured secondary-level learning, syllabus coverage and examination preparation. These skills are transferable to UK learners, particularly in developing fluency, reasoning, problem-solving and clear mathematical communication. To reinforce learning and monitor progress, I create customised worksheets, practice questions, revision exercises and assessment materials\. For UK learners, I would adapt these resources to reflect the relevant GCSE or A\-Level specification, question styles, command words and assessment expectations\. I would also use diagnostic activities and regular progress reviews to identify gaps and provide targeted support.

As an online tutor, I understand that successful virtual teaching requires more than transferring classroom instruction to a screen. I create interactive lessons through questioning, worked examples, visual explanations, regular feedback and personalised practice. I aim to keep students actively involved while encouraging them to explain their reasoning, ask questions and approach unfamiliar problems with increasing independence.
Thank you.
