What a class with me is like

My classes are relaxed, supportive and built around you. I specialise in teaching complete beginners who have never drawn before. We start right from the basics and I will show you how to build confidence with outlines and simple shapes, before moving into the subjects you most want to learn.

Together we can cover portraits, the human body and facial features, animals and how to capture movement, as well as wildlife, flowers and still life, including how to work with shadows to make your drawings feel more real.

I also run classes focused on techniques. These are the kinds of tricks and methods professional artists use with different mediums, but I show you simpler ways to get the same beautiful effects without it feeling overwhelming.

Adult private tuition
I offer private one-to-one tuition for adults, either online or in person at your home. I am based in Chelmsford and I can travel further afield for an hourly charge plus travel costs.

Creative experience days for companies
I have worked with companies to run art-based experience days around different themes. These are great for team building or wellbeing days. I can travel across Essex and into Central and East London, but the venue would need to be arranged and provided by the company.

Party style art
I also offer party style sessions, either as a home visit or at a venue you have booked. These are inspired by whatever theme you have in mind for the party. Prices for these are on request.

Children's classes
For children I offer fun Party Paint sessions and private one-to-one home visits within Chelmsford only. I work with ages 5 to 16, including GCSE help and practice lessons.

Please note, as I am currently awaiting my updated DBS documentation, any child under 16 will need to have a responsible adult present for the duration of the lesson.

Charity and community classes
I have worked with a number of charities, from groups supporting people with different disabilities to adult services. Please do ask if this is something you would like to arrange.

For all bookings, if it is not a home visit, the venue will need to be arranged by the client.
