Suzette Huwae

I graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) with a First-Degree Teaching Qualification in Drawing, Painting and Art History. In addition, I have gained substantial experience delivering art classes and masterclasses through my own creative business.
Before moving to London fourteen years ago (having returned to the Netherlands five years ago), I regularly delivered workshops, including ceramics workshops, and worked as a guest lecturer at several secondary schools, including schools in Zeist, where I taught drawing classes. I understand that Drawing is now generally incorporated within the broader subject of Visual Arts, which aligns perfectly with my qualifications and experience.
Over the past several years, I have also developed my career in other professional roles, including that of Senior Graphic Designer. A year ago, I worked as an Art Director at Ingage Group, where I was responsible for mentoring and supporting junior designers. During my eight years in London, I worked as a freelance graphic designer and artist, while also occasionally teaching at a Christian school.
Since returning to the Netherlands, I have once again been actively engaged as both an artist and designer. I currently teach drawing and painting classes to my own students and will soon be delivering a masterclass in Art Appreciation and Pop Art for an Amsterdam-based business club. These experiences have reignited my passion for teaching, and I am highly motivated to share my knowledge and inspire others.
I believe that my practical, hands-on approach, combined with the independence and organisational skills I have developed through many years of freelancing, make me well suited to this role.
