I tailor every lesson to the target areas for each individual student. We use past papers, conversational practice, critical thinking and plenty of hands-on guidance in academic writing. I give regular feedback and always set homework. The marking is included in the class fee. My students have succeeded in areas where they were really struggling, for example close analysis, evaluation, embedding contextual and theoretical elements in their essays.

I am happy to look at coursework and I work with students to secure the highest outcomes by redrafting. All I ask is commitment on the part of the student and the willingness to develop their ideas. I am a trained youth mental health first aider and I always seek to provide a supportive and encouraging environment to learn and succeed.

Masterclasses during the Easter and Spring Bank holiday periods give a boost to students who are revising. I am on-hand to mentor and I can provide mindfulness exercises for exam nerves. I am trained as a specialist teacher and advocate for neurodivergent students.
