Suriya Raviendran

My name is Suriya Raviendran and I teach AQA science and Edexel maths for students in years 7-11 (biology, chemistry, physics and maths), GCSE and years 12-13 (A levels - biology and chemistry).

I have a lot of teaching experience from working as a support teacher at my local IntoUniversity centre and from tutoring privately. I completed my GCSEs and A levels at Brampton Manor Secondary and Sixth Form. I studied Biomedical Science Bsc (Hons) at Queen Mary University of London and I am going to start Medicine at Sunderland University.

I use a tailored approach to education. I initially focus on the topic content the student would like to go through. After I teach through the topic, I will go onto common misconceptions and misunderstandings and provide small quizzes to test their understanding. After teaching the content, I go through worked example questions specific to the topic, this includes but is not limited to graph questions and practical based questions. I also provide questions to students so that they can work through at their own pace and then provide detailed marking and feedback.
