Stylianos Kalotaris

I am a Mathematics student at the University of Cambridge, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in maths. My lessons are friendly, clear, and focused on understanding, not just memorising methods.

In a typical lesson, I first identify what the student is finding difficult and check their foundations. Then we go through the topic step by step, using examples to make the ideas feel more natural. After that, we practise exam-style questions together, focusing on how to think through the problem, what methods to choose, and how to write a clear solution.

I am especially good at explaining difficult concepts in a simple way and helping students who feel stuck, anxious, or lacking confidence.

My teaching style is patient and interactive. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, and understand why each step works. I do not just give answers; I guide students so that they can eventually solve problems independently.

I can also help with exam preparation, revision planning, past paper practice, and improving mathematical reasoning. Whether a student wants to catch up, improve their grades, or aim for top marks, I adapt the lesson to their level and goals.

My aim is for students to leave each lesson feeling clearer, more confident, and more capable in maths.
