I have been teaching at university level for 15 years, presenting interactive lectures, leading seminars and giving tutorials. My aim as a tutor is to stimulate and engage students, meeting the students where they are and building lesson plans around that.
By providing stimulating materials for analysis and discussion, my lessons are structured but flexible. I believe in providing students with enough structure and discipline so that they can develop their critical thinking skills and knowledge of the subject while having the space to ask questions and think outside the box. I aim to give students the tools they need to analyse texts and develop original critical thought, while encouraging lateral thinking and a range of approaches.
