I feel as though in my nature of tutoring, I create a safe space for students to express themselves fully. It's important to me to have a honest working environment. It is important that the student feels comfortable with me as a tutor so that I can push them to work hard but also provide experienced support in the adversities of learning a new language. Furthermore, I also understand how to handle the pressures of a schooling environment whilst also achieving high results and want to pass this skill onto my students.
I have worked alongside English students of all ages and capabilities. I’m fast at grasping the level of English capability of individuals and adjusting my teaching mechanisms depending on what suits each individual student best. I have also worked closely with English High School students previously. I have skills in helping them find the most simple and effective way to break down examination questions and how to establish the core information in various aspects of the subject.
I teach my lessons on video call. The first lesson I teach, I complete a consultation to establish the current level of English capability and what each students individual goal is. I will then develop a course plan to push each student to reach their individual goals and beyond. Through teaching lessons I quickly understand the way in which each individual student learns best and will alter the lessons to cater to their personal needs. Students should expect to have homework that should be completed before the next lesson. Any issues can be discussed within the lessons.
