Stephanie Keenlyside

Hi, I’m Stephanie, a Maths graduate with a 2:1 degree in Pure Mathematics from Newcastle University. I achieved A* grades in GCSE Maths and Further Maths, and A grades in A-Level Maths and Further Maths. I offer online tutoring for KS3 and GCSE Maths (Foundation and Higher tier) for students of all abilities.
During sixth form, I provided support to lower set GCSE Maths classes, offering one-to-one help with understanding concepts and working through practice questions. I have also provided ongoing support to a GCSE student, helping with revision, homework, and exam preparation. These experiences have helped me develop patience and the ability to explain topics in different ways to suit individual learning styles.
My tutoring approach focuses on building understanding step-by-step, boosting confidence, and practising exam-style questions. I personally learn by asking lots of questions to fully understand topics, so I encourage students to do the same and always reassure them that there is no such thing as a silly question.
I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving at their own pace. Sessions usually combine explanation, guided practice and homework to reinforce learning and I provide regular feedback on progress.
I am passionate about helping students overcome difficulties in maths, improve their understanding, and feel confident tackling new topics and exams.
