Hello! My name is Stella, and I am a dedicated and passionate Mathematics educator with a strong academic background in Education Mathematics. I graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where I gained both subject knowledge and professional training in educational principles, teaching methods, classroom management, assessment, and student development.
My relevant teaching experience includes supporting and teaching students in Mathematics at different levels. I am skilled at breaking down complex mathematical concepts into simple, clear, and understandable steps. I understand that students learn at different speeds, so I adapt my teaching approach to meet individual learning needs and help students build confidence in the subject.
My teaching methodology is student-centred, interactive, and practical. I begin by assessing the student's current level of understanding and identifying areas of difficulty. I then use simple explanations, worked examples, guided practice, and regular exercises to help students master each topic. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in lessons. I also use real-life examples where appropriate to make Mathematics more meaningful and interesting.
My areas of subject expertise include Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Statistics, Probability, Indices and Logarithms, Sets, Functions, Matrices, and other secondary-school Mathematics topics. I can support students preparing for examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and other relevant assessments.
My professional training in Education Mathematics has equipped me with knowledge of lesson planning, curriculum implementation, classroom management, student assessment, and effective instructional strategies. I am committed to continuous learning and regularly explore new teaching methods and technology that can improve the learning experience.
As an educator, my goal is not only to help students get the correct answers but also to help them understand the concepts and develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
