During my math tutoring sessions, I prioritize creating an engaging and interactive learning environment that caters to the specific needs of my students. I believe in a student-centered approach, where the focus is on understanding individual learning styles and adapting the lessons accordingly.

To begin, I typically assess the student's current understanding of the topic to identify any knowledge gaps. From there, I design a customized plan to address those gaps and help the student progress. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, providing clear explanations and practical examples to ensure comprehension.

My lessons are structured to encourage active participation and problem-solving. I encourage students to ask questions, express their thoughts, and engage in discussions related to the topic at hand. This fosters critical thinking and a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.

Additionally, I have experience working with students of various backgrounds and skill levels. This experience has honed my ability to adapt my teaching style to cater to different learning paces and ensure effective knowledge transfer. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, where students feel comfortable expressing their difficulties and achieving their goals.

At the end of our session I like to ask my student to summarise what they have learnt throughout the session to see if they have really understood and give them a quick quiz on a few key things we have learnt during the lesson.

I will also provide websites and practice questions for them to carry on practicing after the lesson.
