I always open my lessons with a starter, usually on the previous topic, to consolidate their learning. It's usually in the form of a game to get the students engaged. We then move through to the main topic area and work through some examples together and then the students independently work through some questions. We often use online apps to encourage motivation and engagement. We finish off with a maths game.
