My lessons are structured, interactive, and personalised around your current level, your goals, and the specific areas you want to improve. I believe that a good lesson should not simply give you more information—it should help you actually use what you have learned.

We usually begin by identifying your strengths and the areas that are holding you back. From there, I design lessons around specific objectives. For example, if you are preparing for IELTS Speaking, we might work on developing longer and better-organised answers, reducing hesitation, improving pronunciation, expanding your range of vocabulary, and correcting recurring grammar errors. If you are working on IELTS Writing, we can focus on essay structure, developing ideas, cohesion, grammatical accuracy, vocabulary, and responding effectively to the question.

For general or academic English, lessons can include guided conversations, real-life communication, reading and writing tasks, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency practice. I try to make activities relevant to situations where you will actually need English—whether that is university, work, travel, interviews, presentations, or everyday conversations.

A typical lesson involves a combination of explanation, guided practice, independent practice, and feedback. I don't expect you to simply sit and listen while I talk. You will spend a significant part of the lesson actively using English, making mistakes, experimenting with new language, and receiving immediate feedback. When you make an error, I explain why it is incorrect and help you practise the correct form so that you can use it independently.

I also adapt the pace and difficulty of lessons as you progress. If something is already easy for you, we move forward. If a particular problem keeps appearing, we slow down, practise it in different ways, and revisit it later to make sure the improvement lasts.

You should be able to see a difference in your performance over time. Depending on your goals, this could mean speaking for longer without getting stuck, using more natural vocabulary and sentence structures, making fewer recurring grammar mistakes, producing clearer and better-organised writing, understanding spoken English more easily, reading more efficiently, or performing more consistently in practice tests.

For IELTS students, I take a particularly targeted approach. Rather than simply giving you practice tests repeatedly, we identify why you are losing marks and work specifically on those areas. You may receive feedback on your speaking responses, writing organisation and language, reading accuracy and timing, or listening mistakes, along with clear recommendations for what to practise next.

I have over five years of English-language teaching experience and have worked with 800+ learners across IELTS, SAT, PTE, DET, OET, and GRE preparation, as well as academic and professional English. I have taught students and adults in one-to-one, group, classroom, and online settings, and I am also CELTA-certified.

My aim is for every lesson to produce something measurable or immediately useful. You should leave knowing what you can do better than before, what still needs work, and exactly what you can do next to keep improving. Over time, the goal is not just a better test score or a more polished answer—it is for you to become a more confident, accurate, and independent user of English.
