Lessons will be online and tailored to your skills. If local, face to face tutoring can be delivered in your home or at my home office.
An initial conversation looking at what you would like to achieve, areas you would like to feel more confident will help to develop the right approach for you.
I use a mixture of online discussions, reading, PowerPoint and activities, and workbooks all tailored to meet your individual needs.
During our lessons we can work to building confidence around grammar, essay writing, improving understanding of text, how to improve our use of language both orally and written, expanding vocabulary and use of spelling, punctuation and grammar. I can also support with use of referencing for those looking to move into higher education and assignment layout.
My strengthens are in reading, use of professional language, identifying key points and areas relative to the assignment or comprehension read. I can help support with reading academic text and enjoy a good book study with discussion to really obtain a good understanding of what the writer is trying to portray to the reader. By listening to the view points of others, expands your own understanding of the text and questions your own view points. This helps you to grow both academically and as a individual
I do not offer an accredited course, however, I can help to support students alongside there courses and to support confidence in their English literacy and language as personal development.
I offer an initial consultation free of charge as I believe learning will only take place if you feel comfortable and confident in your relationship with your tutor.
