My maths lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s ability and learning style. With more confident learners, I like to begin with a short starter activity, revisiting prior topics we have covered. This allows students to take the lead in answering questions and reinforcing their knowledge. From there, we move on to interactive quizzes and structured past paper practice, which helps them apply their understanding in an exam-style format. For students who need extra support, I take a slower, more guided approach. We go over topics they may have found challenging in class, breaking them down step by step with clear explanations. I work through questions alongside them, gradually encouraging independence until they feel confident answering on their own.

I strongly believe that success in mathematics comes from consistent practice. For this reason, I set past paper questions as homework each week, which we then review together in the following lesson. This cycle of practice and feedback helps students not only improve their exam technique, but also develop the confidence needed to tackle unfamiliar problems.

My teaching experience began while supporting friends during my own GCSEs and A Levels, and I have since continued tutoring alongside my studies. I have also completed formal training through another established tutoring platform, equipping me with professional techniques to engage students effectively. Currently, as a second-year Economics and Finance student at the University of Exeter, I draw on my strong mathematical background to make lessons both practical and rewarding.
