Each lesson is delivered with an engaging power point presentation which walks you through the lesson criteria. My personal Anthology is used to allow you to read a variety of authors in preparation for GCSE exams. This includes Dickens, Fitzegerrald, Shakespeare and many other authors. Lessons are designed to include participation from the student verbally as well as theoretically. Homework is set after the lesson is completed to assess the learners understanding.
We can also work with materials being used by schools for exams but I feel that the student should work with different materials so that they can analyse many texts and not just one. The skill isn’t about the written texts but about how you analyse and what you infer from them. Creative writing is completed through imagery to enhance learning and develop skills to write with the senses. Language features and organisational features are taught so you learn to structure your writing to make it interesting for the reader. Lessons are colourful and dynamic allowing learners to have a voice and question why they have reached a conclusion analysing deeper with each step. Lessons can be taught as fast or as slow as required based on abilities. There is no silly question and all questions will be answered with honesty and professionalism. Equality and diversity is taken very seriously in my lessons as are British values in their entirety. Feedback will always be given on homework verbally and written with the request to make improvements if needed. The same apply for functional skill qualifications if support is needed.
Anatomy and physiology is delivered in a similar way but there is much more face to face and movement involved to cater for stretching.
