My lessons are structured around the individual student and their goals. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.

I start by identifying areas the student finds challenging, then break topics down into clear, manageable steps before practising questions together. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind methods rather than just memorising steps, so they can apply their knowledge independently.

Through my experience teaching and mentoring younger students at medical school, I have developed a patient and adaptable teaching style. I understand that every student learns differently, and I adjust lessons to suit their pace, whether they need extra support with foundations, exam preparation, or improving their overall confidence in maths.

I believe that building confidence is a key part of learning, especially in subjects like maths where students can easily feel overwhelmed. My lessons involve a mixture of explanation, guided practice, and independent problem-solving to help students gradually become more comfortable tackling questions on their own. I encourage students to ask questions and see mistakes as part of the learning process rather than something to be worried about. My aim is to make lessons engaging, productive, and tailored to help each student reach their full potential.
