I like to make teaching fun, I myself having ADHD - i remember classes always being boring, I’d be easily distracted and frustrated that I had to sit and copy from a board. The teachers that really stuck out to me were the ones who used to find different ways for me to learn that would keep me captivated and that’s exactly what I want to provide for my students! Whether it be fun games like Kahoot or Colour by numbers, I want to cater our sessions to you and your needs.

I aim to find ways to help students stay focused and excites to learn in a way that works for them, whilst still helping the student to be seen and heard; need a five minute break? Learning is all about finding ways to understand the information that works for you. Not everyone can learn from copying something out of a text book or off of a PowerPoint presentation, so I won’t expect that from my students.

My lesson plans will aim at covering mathematics as a whole but focussing on the students struggling areas - someone could be amazing at algebra but really struggling with trigonometry; I’m not going to make them sit through 50 algebraic equations that they’ll absolutely smash through when I could sit with them and guide them through say 5 trigonometry questions, helping them to understand the subject and building their confidence.
