Hi! I have previously tutored 2 year 11 students and a year 10 student over the span of 2 years. I love to have a chat and make learning fun using little tricks to remember things and fun associations! I like to conduct my tutoring sessions using a range of online resources specific to the exam board or curriculum. For example for GCSE students, I will use a textbook/ online sheets to reinforce and teach the topic of worry and then practise exam style questions. Eventually when the student is feeling confident in a range of topics, we will work through past papers together and then I can set some questions to be completed individually. For younger years under GCSE, I can assist in homework tasks and some extra practise and could then look further ahead into their curriculum to push the student to get a little bit ahead however this is only if wanted. I'm very patient so I am more than happy to assist any child of any age and ability and in the case of younger students, keep in frequent contact with the parent to be prepared in time for a session. My 2 previous year 11 students both achieved up to 2 grades higher than their initial predicted grades after our sessions and I am young enough to be able to relate to their struggles and hopefully be able to give advice and motivate them to succeed and reach their goals!
