With a strong academic background, extensive teaching experience, and an ongoing PhD in Medicine at the University of Cambridge, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively to your program’s mission of fostering research skills among highly motivated students.
I am currently supported by the prestigious Cambridge Trust Scholarship, awarded annually to a select group of the highest-ranked international students worldwide. My doctoral research focuses on multimodal neuroimaging and AI-based approaches to improve diagnosis and outcomes in traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative conditions. This work combines advanced neuroscience, imaging, and computational techniques.
Over the past eight years, I have taught more than a thousand students across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My teaching portfolio includes advanced courses in medical imaging, signal and image processing, neuroscience, neuroimaging, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Many of my former students have gone on to successful careers in academia, medicine, and industry. Beyond classroom teaching, I serve as a scientific reviewer for leading international journals, including The Lancet, The Lancet Neurology, Cerebral Cortex, and Biological Psychiatry. Through this role, I contribute to upholding the highest standards in global medical and neuroscience research.
As a PhD student living with my wife, I am also motivated to seek meaningful part-time academic work that supplements my income while allowing me to give back to the academic community. Having experienced academia both as a student and as a teacher, I value the opportunity to guide young learners in developing independence, confidence, and critical thinking through structured research training.
