10 Years experience teaching in a variety of school settings, as well as tutoring online, teaching Maths to students aged 11-18.
Although I have no specific SEN training, I have years of experience adapting my teaching to support SEN students as best as possible within my schools.
I have experience creating schemes of learning, assessing students current levels, predicting future grade progression, creating assessments, and exam marking.
I have also tutored specifically for students preparing for all levels of the UKMT Maths Challenges.
I am solely tutoring online now, after deciding not to return to full time teaching after having my baby last year.
I have some evening availability, as well as plenty of availability at weekends. At present I also have some daytime availability on Wednesdays and Fridays when my daughter is at Nursery.
My sessions are specifically tailored to each students individual needs, and I include multiple alternative methods to many topics, where students are struggling. All sessions are flexible and I am happy to adapt to fix issues that arise within sessions.
I also focus on a lot of exam techniques and practice exam papers with students in order to assess where they are losing marks with the aim of being able to improve scores as much as possible.
Most recently I have been doing some Exam Marking for the summer 2026 exams, and have a lot of experience with exam mark schemes, which I incorporate into my teaching, in order to show students where the marks are actually gained and what working must be shown.
