When it comes to learning subjects like Finance, Accountancy, Business Economics, and Mathematics, I know how overwhelming they can feel at first. My lessons are designed to take away that stress and replace it with confidence and clarity. Over the past six years, I have worked with students at different levels – from school pupils tackling their first set of exams to university students preparing for advanced finance modules – and I’ve seen firsthand how much difference the right teaching approach can make.
Each lesson is tailored to the individual student. I usually begin by understanding what areas you are struggling with or what goals you are working toward. From there, I create a structured plan that covers the theory in a step-by-step way, followed by worked examples and practice questions. I strongly believe that practice is key in subjects like finance and maths, so I make sure every session involves active problem-solving rather than just passive note-taking.
I also like to bring in real-world applications to make the material more engaging. For example, in economics, we might look at current market trends, and in finance, I might draw on case studies that connect directly to what you are learning in class. This not only helps in understanding the concepts but also builds critical thinking skills that are essential for exams and beyond.
With a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, I bring both academic expertise and practical insight to my teaching. My students often describe my lessons as clear, supportive, and motivating. I create an environment where it’s safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace.
Whether you need help improving grades, preparing for assessments, or simply building confidence in dealing with numbers, I’ll guide you with a patient and personalised approach. My ultimate aim is to make complex subjects simple, enjoyable, and useful for you in the long run.
