I am eager to pass on my knowledge to current students in order for them to find their potential, explore a range of resources to maximise their abilities and to help them grow and learn as individuals. I am hard working, passionate and driven to ensure that students reach the goals in which they aim to achieve.
My hard work throughout my studies is evident in my achievements, such as by winning the GCSE Art Award and the A Level Sociology award for outstanding efforts and for achieving the highest grades in the cohorts. I achieved grades 6-9 in my GCSEs, including receiving grade 9's in History, Religious Studies and Art & Design. As well as this, I also achieved grades A*AB in my A levels, with the A* and the highest mark given in the sixth form cohort awarded in Sociology.
My experience as a Peer Mentor at the University of Nottingham’s Law Society provided me with skills in leadership and mentoring, as I was responsible for mentoring 3 first year undergraduate students by offering my support and guidance on a variety of topics, such as aiding their academic queries and weaknesses. As well as this, my experience as a volunteer for the Aspire Project under the University of Nottingham’s Pro Bono Society enhanced my flexibility and adaptability when communicating to different age groups, as during this experience I was tasked with leading and delivering educational workshops to primary school children, which involved leading group discussions and one-on-one activities, as well as ensuring that all the children understood the topics concerned.
