I will go through the specification and cover all areas, spending more time on topics you may find more difficult. I will begin with the theory of the required topic, then work through a range of examples, before giving you practice questions and reviewing the answers together. Practice is the best way to understand maths and develop the skills to approach any type of question. Lessons will always involve active problem solving so that you can apply the knowledge you’ve gained, and I will support you whenever you feel stuck. It is essential to attempt the question alone at first so you can learn from any potential mistakes! Mistakes are a part of the learning process and we will learn from them together!

I achieved top grades in Maths throughout school, including a Grade 9 at GCSE and A*’s in both A Level Maths and Further Maths. I have over a year’s tutoring experience at Explore Learning, which has allowed me to adapt my teaching style to suit different individuals. Being a tutor is something I find incredibly rewarding. I find that helping students understand concepts they find initially tricky provides me with so much satisfaction. Maths has always been a passion of mine, and I aim to help students build confidence, strengthen exam technique, and truly enjoy the subject.
