I have experience as an after school club teacher at Hujjat primary school where I taught children in years 1-2 for one hour per week. I used printed resources and whiteboards to teach them content, quiz them and plan mini tests so that I can mark their academic progress.
I like teaching in a way where my students and I are constantly communicating so the child feels comfortable enough to raise questions or uncertainties they may have. For example, carrying out group work or class quickfire quizzes to test previous knowledge at the start of every lesson.
If need be, I also have knowledge of communicating 1-to-1 with students if I notice any confusion or queries they may have, I want to ensure all my students feel safe and comfortable in the learning environment so that they are not afraid of making mistakes and trying again.
