Hi! ???!

My name is Shuchen, and I am excited to introduce myself as your Chinese language teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in International Communications. During my undergraduate studies, I also had the opportunity to learn Spanish, which has given me a deep understanding of the challenges involved in learning a new language.

I have gained extensive teaching experience throughout my career. I have volunteered for a youth program in Romania, where I worked specifically with teenagers, and I have also served as a volunteer lecturer at a Confucius Institute. I have experience in teaching both adult and kids. These experiences have shaped my teaching approach, which I describe as relaxed and flexible. I believe in building a friendly rapport with my students and creating a comfortable environment for learning.

In my classes, I like to incorporate various multimedia resources such as videos, music, and discussions on current affairs. Apart from the regular course material, I enjoy sharing topics related to culture, daily life, and social issues. I believe that understanding the cultural background is essential for mastering a language. For more advanced students, I like to engage them in targeted discussions on social issues, enabling them to gain insights into both language and cultural contexts.

I am passionate about teaching Chinese and helping my students achieve their language goals. Together, we will embark on an exciting journey of language learning, where we can explore the linguistic aspects and the rich cultural tapestry that comes with it.
