Hi, I’m a dedicated GCSE Maths tutor who achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and is currently studying A-Level Maths. Because I completed GCSE Maths recently, I understand both the challenges students face and the techniques needed to succeed in the current exam system. My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging, and focused on building confidence as well as improving grades. I believe that many students struggle with maths not because they are incapable, but because topics are often explained too quickly or in a way that does not suit their learning style. In my lessons, I aim to break difficult concepts down into simple, manageable steps and explain methods clearly until students feel comfortable using them independently.

A typical lesson would begin with a short recap of previous topics to strengthen understanding and identify any areas that still need practice. I would then introduce a new topic or skill using worked examples and clear explanations, followed by guided practice where students can ask questions freely without feeling pressured. Once students gain confidence, we would move on to independent questions and exam-style problems to develop accuracy, problem-solving skills, and exam technique. I also focus on helping students recognise patterns in GCSE questions and learn efficient methods that save time in exams.

My tutoring covers both Foundation and Higher Tier GCSE Maths, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, graphs, statistics, and probability. I can also provide revision support, homework help, and targeted practice for weaker topics. Above all, I want my students to leave lessons feeling more confident, motivated, and capable in maths, while making steady progress towards their target grades.
