Shruti Hasmukhlal

Hello and welcome! My name is Shruti. My lessons in Maths and English are designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to suit every learner’s needs. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where children feel confident to take risks, ask questions, and enjoy the learning process.

In English lessons, we focus on developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Lessons often include shared reading, vocabulary building, guided writing tasks, and group discussions to improve comprehension and expression. I love using stories, poems, and creative writing prompts to spark imagination and build language skills.

In Maths lessons, I take a hands-on and visual approach to help children understand key concepts in number, shape, space, and problem-solving. We use games, manipulatives, real-life scenarios, and step-by-step strategies to build fluency and confidence. I ensure that learning is paced well and differentiated so every child feels both challenged and supported.

My lessons typically follow a clear structure: a warm-up or recap, main teaching input with active participation, followed by independent or group work, and a reflective plenary. I use continuous assessment to identify strengths and areas for improvement, adapting plans to support every child’s progress and to recall learning.

With a BA in Primary Education and QTS, plus valuable experience across Key Stages 1 and 2, I bring effective teaching practices, patience, and creativity into every lesson. Whether we’re cracking word problems or crafting persuasive texts, my goal is to make Maths and English enjoyable and meaningful for all learners.
