My lessons are structured around you ,I start every new student with a short diagnostic conversation to understand where you're at, what's confusing you and what you're working towards. From there, we build a plan rather than just working through topics randomly. I don't believe in just re-explaining what your lecturer already said. If something isn't clicking, we find a different way in , whether that's a real-world example, working through the logic from scratch or breaking a method down step by step until it makes sense.
My background is practical as well as academic. I've used regression analysis and econometric modelling in real consulting work.
Sessions are typically an hour long. I'm happy to work from your lecture notes, a past paper , a specific assignment or a topic list , whatever is most useful. I also send a short recap after each session so you have something to refer back to.
