Presentation

My lessons are interactive and structured to build both conceptual understanding and problem solving confidence. I focus on identifying where a student is struggling and guide them step by step until the ideas become clear. Instead of only showing solutions, I ensure students understand why definitions, formulas, and methods work so they can apply them independently.

Lessons are discussion based and adapted to the student's level. I ask questions throughout the lesson to check understanding before moving on. My goal is to help students develop strong foundations and logical reasoning skills that are essential for subjects such as mathematics and physics.

Lesson Format

1. Understanding the Student

At the beginning I get to know the student and identify which topics they find difficult, whether the difficulty is conceptual, mathematical, or related to problem solving, and their current level of understanding. This allows the lesson to focus on the areas where the student needs the most support.

2. Concept Building

We begin with examples followed by definitions and formulas.

After introducing a concept, I check the student's understanding by asking questions such as:

Does the physical situation fit this definition?
Does the formula apply in this situation?

This helps ensure the student understands when and why to apply the concepts.

3. Worked Examples

Depending on the student's level, we may start with a worked example.

During this stage I make sure the student understands the question by asking clarifying questions. I briefly explain the reasoning and strategy before solving. Then I solve the problem step by step in detail and explain the thinking behind each step.

4. Student Attempts Problems

Once the concept is clear, the student works through problems themselves.

First the student explains what the problem is asking to confirm their understanding. Then the student explains their reasoning and approach to solving the problem. I check whether the approach is plausible. The student works through the solution step by step while I provide corrections, feedback, and guidance when needed.

5. Continuous Feedback

Throughout the lesson I encourage questions and discussion. The goal is to help students develop strong conceptual understanding, confidence in applying formulas, and independent problem solving skills.
