Hi! I’m a friendly and approachable tutor specialising in GCSE Maths, and I’m passionate about helping students build both their understanding and confidence in the subject.
I achieved an A* in GCSE Maths myself, so I understand the level of knowledge and preparation needed to succeed. Having recently been through the GCSE system, I know that Maths can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when certain topics just don’t seem to click. My aim is to make lessons feel less intimidating by breaking difficult topics down into simple, manageable steps and explaining them in a way that makes sense to the individual student.
My lessons will be tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, want to improve your general understanding, or are preparing for your GCSE exams, we can focus on exactly what you need. I believe that practice is key, so lessons can include worked examples, guided questions, exam-style problems and plenty of opportunities for the student to try questions themselves. I’ll also help identify areas where marks are commonly lost and show students how to approach questions confidently.
I also have experience working with young people through English-speaking camps in Poland, where I helped students develop their English communication skills and took part in activities and presentations with them. This experience helped me become more confident at explaining concepts, encouraging students and creating a positive learning environment.
Most importantly, I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. There’s no such thing as a stupid question, and I’ll always take the time to explain something differently if it hasn’t clicked the first time.
My goal is not just to help students get better grades, but to help them become more confident and independent mathematicians.
