DBS Certificate Numbers: (child and adult).

My lessons are person-centred, keeping you at the heart of the learning process. I take time to get to know each learner, so that every session feels supportive, engaging, and relevant.

Utilising a range of learning theories, my aim is to make sure my lessons are effective, incorporating each individual’s different learning styles and needs using the following learning theories:
1. VARK Model; lessons are designed to include a variety of activities, such as visuals (diagrams and images), listening and discussion opportunities, written exercises, and hands-on or movement-based tasks. This ensures that whether you learn best by seeing, hearing, reading, or doing, there’s always a method that suits you.
2. Transformative Learning Theory; My goal is to help you not just gain knowledge, but also think differently about the world around you. I encourage reflection, discussion, and critical thinking so that learning becomes a personal journey of growth, confidence, and self-awareness.
3. Constructivist and Humanistic Approaches;
I believe learning is most powerful when you connect new ideas to your own experiences. I guide you to explore, question, and build understanding at your own pace, in a safe and positive space where your voice matters.

Each lesson has a clear structure however, they will remain flexible to meet your needs. I always begin each lesson with a short check-in or recap, followed by interactive learning activities, ending with reflection or feedback. Lessons may include games, visuals, discussions, and creative problem-solving tasks that are designed to make learning meaningful and enjoyable.

I aim to make my lessons inclusive, engaging, and responsive for each individual. Together, we will strive to build, not only knowledge and skills, but also your confidence, your curiosity, your self-esteem, and your self-efficacy.
