My lessons are designed to be clear, engaging, and fully tailored to each student’s needs. I teach GCSE Maths and SATs remotely, using a structured yet flexible format that ensures students understand the foundations before moving on to more complex topics. Each session typically begins with a quick review of previous material to reinforce learning, followed by a focused explanation of a new concept using step-by-step methods, real-life examples, and interactive questioning.
I use practice questions throughout the lesson to check understanding, encourage independent thinking, and boost problem-solving skills. Students are free to ask questions at any point, and I adjust the pace based on how comfortable they feel with the topic. I also provide tips for revision, exam technique, and managing tricky word problems, which are common areas of difficulty in GCSE Maths.
Since I completed my own GCSEs just last year also being neurodivergent , I have a fresh understanding of the curriculum, exam expectations, and common challenges students face. I know what works because I’ve experienced it myself, and I bring that relatable perspective to every lesson. I also draw on my experience mentoring younger students during SATS preparation, which helped me develop a calm, patient, and supportive teaching style.
Whether a student is struggling with specific topics or just wants to boost their grade, I aim to make every session useful, focused, and confidence-building. My goal is not just to teach, but to help students feel capable and motivated in their learning.
