Experienced Personal Tutor | Biology & Science | KS2–KS4 | SEND Support

Hello! I’m Shaireen, an experienced and dedicated tutor with a strong academic background in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Life Sciences. I hold an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Essex and have experience providing 1-to-1 tutoring and learning support to students from KS2 to KS4, including students with additional learning and SEND needs.

I offer personalised tuition in Biology, Science, Chemistry, Physics, English and Maths, adapting lessons to each student’s individual learning style, ability and goals. My teaching focuses on building both academic progress and confidence through clear explanations, practical examples, guided practice and regular assessment.

I can support students with:

Biology, Chemistry and Physics
KS2–KS3 English, Maths and Science
GCSE preparation and revision
Homework, coursework and exam preparation
Improving understanding of difficult topics
Building confidence, communication and study skills
1-to-1 learning and SEND support

My approach is patient, supportive and student-centred. I understand that every student learns differently, so I use flexible teaching strategies to maintain engagement and make lessons enjoyable and productive. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently and develop effective problem-solving skills.

I also have experience supporting students who may need additional encouragement, structure and personalised learning activities. My aim is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to develop confidence, independence, curiosity and a positive attitude towards learning.

If you are looking for a friendly, reliable and academically qualified tutor, I would be happy to support your child in achieving their learning goals and reaching their full potential.
