I am a qualified primary school teacher with 7 years of teaching experience. I teach lessons which are planned to cater to the learning needs of my students. I pride myself in providing high quality tuition sessions to engage students and develop their love of learning. I firmly believe that every person learns differently, whether it is through creativity, organised structure or constant repetition, which is why I like to build a professional relationship with all my students to plan the best suited lessons to their needs and abilities. I believe I have a lot of patience which is important when teaching as it is paramount that students are not rushed in their learning. I like to pace my lessons in a way that students feel happy, comfortable and proud in their achievements. I also like to be very adaptable during my lessons. If I find that my student is struggling to understand the lesson, I always like to try different methods to get the teaching across, even if that means improvising the lesson plan on the spot. Tuition should be done at the pace of the students to push them to their absolute best potential. Finally, I think it is very important to create a safe space for each student so they are comfortable to express their misunderstandings during lessons so we can work on them together. Children should not be made to feel like failures if they do not understand something or if they do not get the right answer. Instead it's important for children to understand that sometimes we will find it things difficult but perseverance is key in achieving our goals!
