In my lessons, I break the maths curriculum into its main areas – number, algebra, geometry and measure, probability, and statistics – and then into their key subtopics. I start by identifying which topics the student finds most challenging and which they’re already confident with. From there, I structure lessons around two key elements: clear teaching content and focused exam practice.
I know that maths exam questions are often asked in the same limited number of ways, just with different numbers or contexts. That’s why my priority is to make students fully exam-ready by working through every type of past exam question for each topic. Over time, this builds both confidence and skill, so that in the real exam they can tackle any question with ease.
To support this, I’ve compiled a PDF of all exam questions across topics from 2017 onwards, and my goal is for students to be able to confidently answer every one of them by the end of our sessions together.
